Keeping Windows Registry CleanWhen you install a program or application, Windows operating system creates records in a special database named Registry. When you remove (uninstall) a program or application, normally these records are deleted from the registry but frequently many traces remain there belonging to nonexistent programs. In the process of operation your computer regularly looks up the records in this database and these orphan records slow down your computer. There are many other reasons why your computer's registry should be cleaned of the junk records. There are several programs to clean the registry that may be safely recommended: 1. Microsoft Regclean (download in a separate directory within "Program Files", execute to unpack, and make a shortcut for future use). 2. Excellent Finnish program by jv16. Please download, install, and regularly use. |
