Setting different icons for Mozilla Browser and Mozilla Mail
To have different icons on the computer tray buttons switching to Mozilla Browser and Mail applications, you will need to install file Mozilla-icons.xpi with your Mozilla browser . It is as easy as for a centipede to walk.
Here are the instructions how the centipede should move its legs:
In the open Mozilla browser:
- Right click on this link
- Select "Save link target as.."
- in the "Save in:" box find and select "Desktop"
- Confirm with clicking on "Save" button.
you may be forced to save it as Text File, do not argue with the computer!- In "File" menu select "Open file"
- in the "Look in:" box find and select "Desktop"
- in the larger window find file "Mozilla-icons.xpi"
If you were forced to save the file as Text File,
- look for file "Mozilla-icons.xpi.txt",
- lightly left click on this file name so that the name becomes highlighted and there is a frame around.
- now left click on the highlighted name to remove the highlighting and after it's gone with the Backspace key delete the symbols ".txt" and hit RETURN.
You will be warned that you should not be doing this. Confirm that you want to rename with hitting YES button.- Confirm with clicking "Open" button
- You will get "Software installation" dialog window asking you for permission to install,
click "Install" button- Exit Mozilla and restart Mozilla.
Now you will have different icons on the tray bar buttons for Mozilla Browser and Mozilla Mail.
