Importing Netscape 4 Address Book into Mozilla

This procedure is done semi-automatically.

1. Open Netscape.
2. Select Communicator | Address Book from the top menu
3. In Address Book select File | Export
4. In dialog box "Export As" set "Save as Type" in the drop down menu to LDIF (*.ldif).
5. Enter "address" into "File Name" window and click "Save".
6. Close Netscape 4.
7. Open Mozilla.
8. Select Windows | Address Book from the top menu
9. In Address Book select Tools | Import
10. In dialog box "Import" click radio button "Address Book" and hit "Next"
11. In the following dialog box select "Text File (LDIF, tab csv.txt)" and hit "Next"
12. In dialog box "Select address book file" find the file "address.ldif" you created in step 5 and make it show in the "File Name" box. Click "Open"
13. Now you should see the animated show with conversion of the Address Book
and the message "Addresses successfully imported" will appear.
14. Click "Finish". You are done.
