Read More on KLEZ virus from Kaspersky
there you will find the Microsoft Internet Explorer security patch.

0) Download the program clrav.com from Kaspersky's website and save it on a floppy disk
As the remote site may be overloaded and unreachable, here is this program stored at DOIM downloaded 9/6/2002. Right click to download.
Mind the local file may be outdated, the latest original is on Kaspersky's web site!

Please use the latest clrav.com!

1) Disconnect from the network
2) Run the program from a floppy disk

3) If the program reports "nothing to clean" , run it again with parameter "clrav.com  /scanfiles"
To do it:

  1. Click START | RUN | Browse
  2. Find Drive A: and click on "clrav" and click on "Open" - you will get back to the "Run" window
  3. In the "Run" window now you see "A:\clrav.com", type additionally "  /scanfiles", not forgetting the space in front of the straight slash (do not type the quote signs!).
Now "A:\clrav.com  /scanfiles" shows in the "Run" window
  4. Click on OK. You'll get the black DOS screen with the program running.

4) Restart the computer in the Safe Mode (repeatedly hit F8 key while rebooting then select "Safe Mode" from the menu).
5) Run the program once again

If virus infected files were detected and fixed, do 6) and 7)
If no infected files were detected then you are okay, pray not to get infected the next day.

6) Reinstall your antivirus program and update the antivirus databases
7) Finally run your antivirus scanner and check all disks

Thanks to the developer of the BEST antivirus software, Kaspersky Labs.
