A. The residency program at the Department of Internal Medicine has been fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education since 1954.
Q. Do you offer international electives?
A. Yes, through rotations.
Q. Do you offer electives for fourth year medical students?
A. Yes, electives for senior medical students are organized through the school of medicine's dean's office.
Q. Do you have a mentoring program?
A. Yes. We strive early in a resident’s training to identify mentors and research opportunities.
Q. What is your board pass rate?
A. Our pass rate is 96 percent, three-year rolling pass rate.

Q. Do residents have research opportunities?
A. Yes, we pride ourselves on identifying early in a resident’s career opportunities for research.
Q. What percentage of your residents seek fellowships?
A. Fifty to 70 percent, depending on the year.
Q. What proportion of your residents are successful in obtaining fellowships?
A. Over the past three years, 94 percent of our residents successfully obtained a fellowship.
