Program accreditation highlights

The residency program at the Department of Internal Medicine has been fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education since 1954.

• Two five-year (maximum) accreditation cycles in a row
• May 2005
• Core Internal Medicine Program awarded accreditation for five years.
• All subspecialty fellowship programs awarded full accreditation status.
• Letter of Intent to submit proposal for Accreditation Council
  of Graduate Medical Education Educational Innovations Pilot Project accepted summer 2005, based on excellent accreditation record and stability of program/institution.
