Directions and parking at Virginia Commonwealth University Department of Internal Medicine care sites
The menu lists specific directions or overview maps to the Department of Internal Medicine patient care sites. These include driving directions to the MCV Campus, Massey Cancer Center and Stony Point. Schematic maps of the exact locations of the Ambulatory Care Center, the Gateway building and the Massey Cancer Center also are listed.
Parking at the VCU Medical Center
Valet parking is available for $5 at the entrances of the Gateway Building, ACC and North Hospital. Parking for the Children’s Pavilion is available in the Pavilion’s lower garage on 11th Street for $5.
The VCU Medical Center has a Patient and Visitor Parking Deck located at 12th and Clay streets. The deck is open 24 hours daily. There is a charge for using this facility during the week.
Reduced parking rates ($2 per visit) are available for patients and visitors that obtain parking validation at the Information Desks located on the first floor of Main Hospital, ACC, Nelson Clinic, the Children’s Pavilion and the ground floor of the Gateway Building.
Lost parking tickets for the Patient and Visitor Parking Deck will be charged $10 upon exit unless a $2 validation is presented.

The Hospital Hospitality House
The MCV Hospital’s Hospitality House provides a “home away from home” for families of VCU Health System’s out-of-town patients. The Hospitality House also serves same-day surgery patients and their families, and outpatients receiving continuing treatment at VCU Health System. The Hospitality House has community rooms, art classes and other amenities to make visitors feel more comfortable. Nearly all of the furnishings, services and operating costs are provided by donations and volunteers. Visitors are asked to contribute what they can toward the nominal cost of the room. Guests must be 14 years old or older to stay at the Hospitality House. Suggested minimum donation is $10 per person per night.
